Terms of service

What Findable is
Findable lets you share your location with people you choose, hidden by default: they can only see it by deliberately viewing it, and you are notified every time they do. By creating an account you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy.
Acceptable use
- Only share your own location, and only view locations that were knowingly shared with you. Never use Findable to track someone without their informed consent.
- Do not attempt to circumvent the view notification or the audit log. They are the heart of the product.
- Do not probe, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or use it for anything unlawful.
We may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules.
A safety net with limits
Findable depends on phones, batteries, networks and third-party services, any of which can fail. A location shown in Findable can be minutes or hours old, approximate, or unavailable. Do not rely on Findable as your only means of finding someone in an emergency. Call local emergency services first.
The service is provided as-is
Findable is provided without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including under French consumer law.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your credentials safe. You can stop sharing, revoke any connection, or delete your account (including all data) at any time. We may modify or discontinue the service; if we ever discontinue it, we will give you notice so you can export your data.
Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email. Continuing to use Findable after a change means you accept the new terms.
